Opinions.

Postby medicalgary33 on Sep 16th, 2011, 2:55 pm

In my big money league, we start 2 RB, and a flex w/r/t. So I always go for a 3rd RB. This year Im sitting with LeSean McCoy, Chris Johnson, Felix Jones, Joseph Addai, and Cadillac Williams. We also go with 3 WR, plus said flex. I have Hakeem Nicks, Mike Williams (TB), Stevie Johnson, Nate Burleson. I am not exactly sure what to expect out of the Colts this year without Peyton Manning. Does Addai get MORE looks and touches because of no Peyton? Or do defenses key in on him because Kerry Collins is old as dirt? I ask because someone wants to take Addai off my hands for Austin Collie. Its your standard point per 10 yds rushing/receiving, 6 pts for TD scoring. I personally take higher value in a RB over a WR, more consistancy. But how much can Addai be trusted to be a reliable option this year?

Addai is old and on the down slope. He has taken a beating. Also, without Peyton will face 8 man fronts for the first time in his career.

Trade him for whatever you can get.

Mediocre backs like him will give you 4 or 5 solid years before you see a fast decline. He has started 5 years now, 6th in the league.

Addai is donezo....but trading him for Collie is a wash.

I figured it was all but a wash, plus Addai being done. Pretty much my exact thoughts. The only real plus that might come out of Collie is the fact that Indy will be in a passing mode a lot this season I think. This guy has Britt and Dez Bryant, but wont part with either of them. Leaving Collie, Meachem, Branch, and Jacoby Jones. Collie I think has the best potential upside given the situation in indy

I don't know if I agree with that. Collie is injury prone. I think I would rather have meachem or branch. Better qbs throwing the ball, high powered offenses.

Personally, I think Collie is the least favorable of them. Branch/Jones are starters in pass-heavy offenses with Pro-Bowl QBs (not collins), and Meachem is likely to start with the injury issues in N'Awlings.

Do what you want, but there isn't a single player in Indy this year that I want on my fantasy teams. At least until Peyton comes back (which I don't think he'll play this year, and if he does, not until week 12ish).

Personally, I would rank those wrs as Meachem/Branch/Jones/Collie.

Colston has a busted collar bone.. That adds value to Meachem.

There are rumors that the pats are already fed up with Ochocino. Branch is the #2 there.

I would go after Meacham.

Ahhhh, yes. Slipped my mind about Colston. Thanks for the input. Right now, Meachem, or Branch/Jones should give more value than Addai, especially long term.

Thanks for remind me about Colston
