Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings1. Packers- Offense is scary good, the defense is scary bad. Regardless, 8-0.
2. 49'ers- Who would have thought the 49'ers would have the second best record half-way through the season? 3. Ravens- 92 yard drive at the end of the game to win IN Pittsburgh. Swept the Steelers which is huge! 4. Saints- The Saints got Revenge on the Bucs. 5. Giants- Beat a strong New England team on the road without Bradshaw. Look out Green Bay. 6. Texans- Can anybody stop the Texans running game? 7. Patriots- Ok now it is becoming a little concerning. Will the Pats even make the playoffs? 8. Lions- Coming out of the bye next week they get the Bears. Better be ready. 9. Steelers-Defense let one slip out of their hands which hurts them greatly. 10. Bengals- Andy Dalton is the man in Cincy! He's got his team tied for 1st in the division. 11. Jets- Statement win in Buffalo, where the Bills were undefeated. The defense is really good. 12. Bears- DAAA BEARS! Very impressive win in Philly! If they keep this up, they'll be tough to beat. 13. Falcons- Indy was no match for the Falcons. 14. Bills- Surprising loss considering the Bills were straight dominated. Still tied for 1st at 5-3 though! 15. Chargers- Rivers really needs to stop with all the turnovers 16. Bucs- The most inconsistent team in the NFL. 17. Cowboys- Solid win over a bad team, but the Cowboys are still not catching the Giants. 18. Raiders- The Carson Palmer trade isn't working out so well. 19. Eagles- The loss vs. Chicago put a serious damper on any playoff hopes. Shocking, literally. 20. Titans- They completely fell apart in the second half. 21. Chiefs- Really, losing to the Dolphins? 22. Redskins- The hot start is a far distant away now. Same 'ol Redskins. 23. Panthers- Another close loss... 24. Broncos- Willis McGahee anyone? 25. Vikings- Bye week. Christian Ponder gets the Packers on Monday Night next week. 26.Jags- Maybe the bye week can help the QB woes. 27. Cardinals- P. Peterson showing why he was a top pick. 28. Browns- Who cares? Cleveland is irrelevant. 29. Seahawks- Tavaris Jackson is terrible... 30. Dolphins- 28 point road win in KC. No comment. SuckForLuck is trending in Indy now. 31. Rams- Tough loss on punt return 32. Colts- They are finding ways to get worse every week. Last edited by dusters on Nov 9th, 2011, 5:45 pm, edited 3 times in total.

Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsSome Niner fans out here are starting to get cocky.. Its amusing.

Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
Huh?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! Anyways, our defense isnt as bad as people make it out to be. Again, teams HAVE to come out passing against us. 8-0, and look at the opposing QBs Rating against us. Not good at all. And as BD pointed out, they ARE stopping teams when it matters in the 4th, every single time.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
It really is amusing. At the bar the other day a Niners fan was saying we will lose one, then they will have us where they want us. Really? You wont lose another game all year? Someone should remind him, they still have Alex Smith.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsI don't think the GB defense is "scary bad." Scary bad defenses don't create three turnovers and 14 points.

Says the Rams fan.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsBengals are a nice story and all, but they are not a top 10 team. The teams they've beaten have combined record of 16-33. Lets see how they do against the Steelers and Ravens.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
Still confused!!!!!
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
I had them 11.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
We don't disagree too often, but hold on there Stache. How is a team that is tied for the best record in the entire AFC not a Top 10 team? Right now the Bengals could be argued a Top 5 team. Saying that, I am still very skeptical about them myself and I do think they won't fare well against Balt/Pitt, but we are talking about right now on this current day. Tied with Baltimore for best record in AFC.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsI just don't think they are very good. The wins they have had do not impress me (Browns, Jags, Seahawks, Colts, Titans & Bills (that's really their only good win)). Throw in a loss to the lowly Broncos, and it just makes it hard for me to believe they are a top 10 team. I have the Bears, Jets, and Falcons all above them.
This Bengals team reminds me a lot of the Bucs from last year. They beat up on bad teams but didn't do much of anything when they played the good teams. They ended up with a nice record because of it, but were never really a threat to make the Playoffs or anything like that. Yep, they will miss the playoffs.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
Yeah, that's what keeps me a bit skeptical on them. But, 5 of their 8 remaining games are against playoff teams most likely (Baltimore X2, Pittsburgh X2, and Houston) so we will see the 2nd half here. I mean to be honest, I had the Bengals winning 3 games this year IIRC, I know it wasn't more than 3. Dalton looks like he's going to be a pretty good QB, and with that defense they got going over there, I think they make the playoffs as a wildcard. I would not be surprised at all if all 3 good teams from the AFC North make the playoffs. That would leave out the AFC East "losers" (3 teams tied at 5-3 over there). I just think with the type of defense they are playing (2nd in total D, 2nd in rushing D, 10th in passing D) they will at least get to 10 wins and grab a wildcard spot. Marvin Lewis was on the hot seat before the season, seems like a long time ago now.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsStache, remember all the shit the Bears got last year for winning the division? We beat weak opponents and had a lot of luck and what not? We defended the Bears in that case. How can we turn around and say the same thing about another team? It's a bit hypocritical.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsBengals D has benefited from playing some piss poor offenses. They have played the 12, 20, 21, 27, 28, 30, 31, and 32th ranked offenses.
In contrast, the Bears are 23rd in total defense and 14th in defensive scoring. They have played the #1, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, and 18th ranked offenses. So in 8 games, they have played teams in top half of the Offensive Rankings 7 times. As the season plays out, the Bengals D falls closer to middle of the pack and the Bears climb into the top 8 range. Right now, do you take the Bengals D over the Bears D? Especially, after you saw what they did to the #1 offense (Philly was #1 going into the game) on Monday night.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
The Bears beat good teams, though. They beat the Packers, Eagles, Jets. Huge difference.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
5-3 and beat a good Packers team. Lost to the Giants on the road and Seahawks and Redskins at home.
6-2 and beat a good Bills team. Lost to a bad Broncos team and an very solid 49ers team. I think the Bears of last year and the Bengals of 2011 are on the same path after 8 games.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings2011 Bengals (6-2)
2010 Bears (5-3)
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsNo one was saying the Bears were a top 10 team after 8 games last year, though. Were they? I wasn't. Not especially after they had losses to the Redskins and Seahawks at home.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power Rankings
I'm sure a few were after the 3-0 start. I was...until they lost to the Seahawks and Redskins.
Re: Week 10 BC.com Power RankingsOh and how could I forget that 9 sack performance vs the Giants.
