All the work he puts in is finally paying off. I also praise the Jays hitting coach as well, everyone on that team can basically rake. If they ever get consistent pitching anytime soon, they will be a huge threat. Hell they are right in it right now as of June 1st.

Toronto is in Top 6 of each offensive category in the AL. Pretty damn good. Brewers, who are for some reason known be the non-WI media as an "offensive team", don't beat the Jays in a single offensive category. I would put Toronto up there as a team that rakes. Behind Boston, NYY, Texas, maybe Cincy.

Big difference is Toronto has a DH, Brewers have a pitcher or a powerful pinch hitter like Kotsay, Counsell, or Wilson... The difference between is more than enough to make up the gap of .003 in BA, .004 in OBP, .005 in SLG%. Team offensive WAR has the Brewers up 19.1 to 16.5. Team OPS+ of 101 for Toronto to 99 for Brewers. Teams are very similar offensively, one with the benefit of a DH.

Not to mention Rogers Center usually plays more offensive than Miller.

That's fine, they still had a lot of holes at the time of that post. Mr. Lawrie has certainly filled one, Thames another.....
