lol

Ozzie was released from his contract in chicago. His original contract had this option only picked up if the sox won the division. Before this season, it became guaranteed regardless of where they finished. But he was not "traded". If, or should I say when Ozzie signs this stupidly suggested 4 year 16 million dollar contract with the marlins, the white sox will get two minor league players as compensation, (since ozzie whined and got his last year guaranteed) an no it wont be LoMo.

Ozzie should be able to retire in Venezuela withinn two years. The marlins have absolutely no time for managers that speak their minds. no way he changes completely and becomes accepted. It really doesnt matter what the future might hold, the marlins gave up on Girardi and Gonzales who are two of the best managers in the game for less than what Ozzie mutters out in one press conference.

We'll see, it's an entirely new organization that wants to completely revamp everything about it. He seems to be a perfect fit for an organization loaded with talented, prepared to double it's payroll.

I shudder to think what this team could look like if they went out and added a Prince Fielder and a Yu Darvish, or a CJ Wilson. They've said they're going to push the payroll to 90 million. With Stanton, Prince, Ramirez, Josh Johnson, Volstad and some of their other young players, they could be another team that is capable of contending in the NL next year. Still see the Braves as the team to beat next year however.
