We just need better pitching next year. Rangers are carving those hitters up.

LaRussa playing with the lighting. Plus has a guy in the outfield bleachers with a spotlight to shine at the Rangers hitters.

Hey wasn't that bad. He gave up a bloop single that gets caught if the Cardinals are in their normal positioning, then a clean single, and was pulled. What about the defense for allowing Andrus to get to 2nd? Or Rhodes or Lynn for not being able to give up the sac flies?

The Rangers offense is going to explode in Texas like they have been...40 degree weather in St. Louis really kills a lot of offense from both sides.

I think Texas can realistically win the next 3. 2/3 is a must.

Albert's error was a killer. But it didn't seem like Motte was throwing anything other than his god damned fastball, although I think those pitches were coming from the dugout. AND TLR takes some fucking blame because he outmanaged himself putting in his defensive replacements Descalso and Schumaker. Hopefully that'll be the last of that.

TLR taking some heat on ESPN today for taking Motte out so quick. Just saying that he's the closer you have to have some faith in him, and with Hamilton's injuries, he's much more likely to be able to get a sac fly off Rhodes' offspeed stuff than an upper 90s fastball from Motte. And at the very least, a sac fly is much more likely to go to left with Motte's heat and prevent Andrus from moving up. But yes, the error was the big killer in the inning, as it was a very easy play for Albert.

Ron Washington is an idiot, keeping the bunt on with Lewis the way the Cards were playing it. If he gets it down, and Napoli running, IF he gets a bunt down, better than 50/50 chance it's a DP. Go so far as to say it's a very good chance for the double play, but he keeps it down. Might as well have him swing away, with the corners in so far, anything down either line and it's probably through. Worst case scenario you get the same DP as a bunt, but even that's less likely as the corners were so far in, would be hard for them to field a grounder cleanly. At the very least, tell him to take the K.

Fuckers, seems like Cards got away with a runner interference with Holiday sliding into 2nd there. Slide seemed OK, but looked like he clearly threw the hands up trying to flip over Andrus when he jumped over him.

Wow, and Holliday's drop is completely outdone by Frees' drop.
