GT: WS 7

Postby SymposiumX on Oct 28th, 2011, 7:10 pm

Nice solid hit to start off the game, followed by horrible base-running by Ian.

Texas needs to start off with some runs and have a short memory regarding lastnight

Rough pitching to start out the game so far. Hopefully Carp continues to struggle but Harrison can settle in a bit.

I think next time Harrison gets into a jam, you have to pull him.

Hope they're just showing bunt with Andrus here. Why are you playing for one run and the tie in the 5th inning?

Ron Washington further confirming my belief he's a better team cheerleader than manager.

I really love Wash's enthusiasm, but he needs to become cheerleader/3B coach instead.

Seems like he'd be a fine bench coach with a manager that can work with him. Let Washington handle all the player interactions, but a manager to make all the in-game decisions.

With this series, he's become my 3rd most hated manager in MLB, following LaRussa and Ron Roenicke of course.

Wash reminds me of Qball. Sure, he's a nice guy and the players seem to like him, but he makes some VERY questionable decisions.

Wow, ballsy. Think I might have throw 2 pitches out of the zone and see if he'd chase. He's had some huge AB but he's still young, can hope he'd reach to try to be a hero again.

Yeah...you pitch/don't pitch to him. Seems like a really odd call there. Give the pitcher no room for error

Memo to Ron Washington: When your pitcher is struggling to throw strikes, MAYBE intentionally walking the bases loaded isn't such a great idea.

Memo to Texas pitchers: With the bases loaded, you can't try to nibble as much. You would think a high school pitcher would realize this, but apparently you guys don't.

Ron Washington should go back to smoking crack, the only thing he's probably succeeded at in his life.

And this ump is fucking horrible. I don't completely buy FoxTrack as being completely accurate, but we've seen several pitchers for Cardinals pitchers off the plate get called for strikes. That one hits the plate and is called a ball? Fuck that.

The way Molina was pitched to...THAT is how Freese should have been pitched to...but..you don't pitch to MOLINA of all fucking guys like that, with the bases juiced.

Fuck Yadi and his bat flip on Strike 2. Fuck the umpire for calling Strike 3 a ball.
