I can't believe there a team dumb enough to give him a 9 year contract. Boras really is a magician.

Wow, almost 24 mil a year. The Tigers are going to have a very expensive DH in a few years.

At least we can still root for him. My roomate is a Tigers fan no less. Wonder what that park will do to his power numbers.

What possible advantage would that give Prince?

Huge deal for him. When it went this long, didn't think he'd get the 7 year deal he was looking for.

Why wouldn't the Tigers then look to sign him to that 1 year deal? It would have worked out much better for them with VMart out.

A one year deal would have worked out much better for the Tigers with VMart being out. Of course Prince wouldn't want a one year deal, but its obviously not because he wouldn't want to switch teams. He wants to get paid.

Just thought of this. We all know how much he cant stand his father (unless I missed that they are talking now). Any chance there is something more than just the money here? Maybe go in, and prove to be the better Fielder to have played for Detroit?
