"We're excited about the infield. We expect big things from them. It'll start in spring training. We'll do a lot of extra work, kind of them on our plan."

Iorg said he was impressed by Gamel's physical appearance as he participates in the fan event.

"He looks like he's in great shape, big and a lot stronger," said Iorg. "I haven't really seen him play first base but (former Nashville manager) Don Money told us he really took to it. We're very optimistic."
