K-Rod suing former agents for no-trade clause mix-up

K-Rod believed he had a NTC in place to block a deal to the Brewers, which he is saying their subsequent use of him as a setup man damaged his value on the market this offseason.

Not sure how strong his case is as he kind of voluntarily gave up his ability to test the FA market by accepting arbitration, but his attorney seems certain he's going to collect damages in the 7 or 8 figure area.

It should be noted that he did emphasize that Rodriguez is not unhappy with the Brewers organization, just the circumstances of which he came here.

It sounds like he's got a legitimate case.

Based on what? One side of the argument of a player bitter he didn't get the money he wanted this off-season? Or your years of law school?

We have no idea what the facts are, and he'd have to prove he'd been promised that there would be a no-trade clause put in the contract, and he shoud have had a lawyer look at the deal after it was finalized.
