Hart to get action at 1B?In a radio interview, "Doug Melvin said that Ron Roenicke will be asking Corey Hart to again consider playing 1B a little this season. Melvin said that Mat Gamel will get a full chance to be the everyday 1B and that if Hart agrees Corey would only play about 30 games at 1B".

Re: Hart to get action at 1B?If it truly is only 30 games or less, I'm fine with this. First season in the majors can be long for players, and we don't have any good options currently on the roster to give him a break at 1B (either Green or Ramirez would cover the corner IF options I would have guessed), so if this keeps him fresh for the whole season it could be good. With Roenicke though, I'm still concerned that with Gamel's first slump, especially if it's early in the season, he might pull the plug on the young guy.

Re: Hart to get action at 1B?They're about to sign Aoki. So I think they're hedging their bets on Gamel not panning out and Aoki ending up deserving of more ABs once Braun returns from his suspension. If that happens, Hart plays first, Aoki plays in right.
Re: Hart to get action at 1B?OR...and wouldn't this be crazy, but just follow me down the purple bus into the smoky haze at the base of the porta johns and climb under neath and an answer will soon find you.
Or someone will shit on your face for trying to make things complicatedl They had a really good LF, now they have a pretty good one because the 1st one isn't going to play for a while. Only the 2nd one is still pretty good "Without religion, we'd have good people doing good things, and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."
