"Fellow board members,

I'm passing along some tragic news. Our beloved "old guy" Thirdstoolin has passed away. I think most of us recall that his wife passed away in November. Third, or Roger, himself informed the board that he had some medical issues to take care of, and would be posting when available. Sadly, tonight's game thread is dedicated to the most internet friendly 78 year old I've ever met.

I actually shared several emails with Roger, and I can tell you that he loved nothing more then sharing stories of Wisconsin sports. He actually shared with me his opening day program from the 1982 Brewers season. (Just requested that I return it in the same mint condition it arrived!). And I know nothing made him happier then watching the Packers win the Superbowl - I received an email from him the next morning, as he was sending his condolences my way about my Bears as he knew the torture I'd get from my family as they are all Packer fans.

Needless to say, most importantly though he loved his family - especially his wife. He is now back with her, and he wouldn't want anything else.

Rest in Peace Roger, and this game thread is for you!

Words of Wisdom:
(1) You can only speak in absolutes if your name begins with "Fan." (2)Strikeouts are not of any importance for hitters; however, high K's for a pitcher are.
