Congrats... probably good for him to get out of WI.
Accomplishments:
2010 - NFL Pick'em regular season & playoff champion
2011 - BC Dynasty Baseball league regular season champion

Words of Wisdom:
(1) You can only speak in absolutes if your name begins with "Fan." (2)Strikeouts are not of any importance for hitters; however, high K's for a pitcher are.

Could also open up Miami as a strong destination to trade Flynn to as well.

Tough loss, but I'm really happy for him to have this to celebrate with all the hardship he's had to deal with lately.

Regardless I don't see the offense missing a beat or really changing at all, will be interesting to see if they're going to promote from within to fill it or bring someone in.

Wow chukk, pretty bad even for you. Especially since I don't think it's even remotely true.

What were these guys doing friday before the big game? Practicing? Nope.

And that one day of practice was the big difference? Like Capers would have figured out at Friday practice he shouldn't give Manning 2 minutes to throw the ball. Peprah would have figured out how to tackle and cover at his Friday practice? All our receivers would have learned to catch? Everybody would have learned how to hold onto a ball?

This team was playing together all year, one fucking practice at the end of the season wasn't going to make a difference.

I actually agree with Chukk. It's the elephant in the room, I'm glad someone finally said it. These guys were at a FUNERAL for the son of maybe their most beloved coach on the team 48 hours before they hit the field. You know all athletes are creatures of habit. Something like that definitely throws them off their routine. That offense was not the same Green Bay Packers team we saw all year. 3 fumbles??? C'mon, they fumbled like 6 times all year. The only way I can explain the offense's performance is that they simply weren't ready.

I can't believe we're even debating on whether or not Michael Philbin is responsible for the Packers losing.

It was a shitty performance on Sunday and when something like that happens, people will look for something, anything, as reasoning, when in reality, sometimes shit just happens.

Did Rodgers, a 7 year veteran, miss some throws because of a practice he didn't get 2 days earlier? How can you possibly attribute drops and fumbles to a lack of a Friday practice?

If they would have come out and blown out the Giants, people would have said, "they looked fresh after the day of rest on Friday and clearly came out and clearly played with so much more emotion", because again, we're always looking for a reason.

If you're going to blame anything, I would be willing to bet that 3 weeks of lack of game action for the stars probably had more to do with it than a lack of one practice. But again, it's also because shit just happens. We had an awful game, it just came at the wrong time. We did the same thing against the Chiefs, nobody died that week.

We've also seen countless athletes perform even better than normal following a tragedy. This argument holds no water in my opinion. I'm not shocked Chukk would bring this up, but I am shocked anyone else would agree.

The perfect example is Brent against Oakland after his father died. We all remember that game. And everyone was like, it was because he was extra motivated. So which is it?

Regardless, it was the 3 week layoff for a bunch of the starters, and time Jennings was out, more than anything on the offensive side. Defensive side? Yeah, NFL record passing yards allowed. Enough said there.

Jesus Christ....can we stop calling him Brent? That joke was never funny to begin with...not to mention you are referring to one of the best games in Packers history right there.

By his receivers....take nothing away from Favre but the real overlooked story is how his receivers rose to the occasion that night and made some spectacular plays on several passes that were basically jump balls and just played out of their minds in support of him.

1. The Favre situation basically has nothing in common with the Philbin situation

2. This offense looked pretty good against NOLA after taking quite a bit of time off

I just don't see how this team wasn't totally emotionally drained by Sunday afternoon. It's not like the kid died after a long battle with cancer. This was sudden. They couldn't find the body. Once they found the body, they had to identify it. Now, for each of those steps, guys are going to be texting back and forth, talking on the phone, etc. This had to have been an all consuming event. Then you've got what must've been an absolutely miserable funeral two days before the big game. Miserable.

If this caused the Packers to lose to the Giants by 17, then they are extremely mentally soft, and I don't see that.

When you lose at home to a team by 17 there is a lot more going on than that and a lot more going wrong. Fumbling the ball repeatedly and having poor position on a Hail Mary are physical mistakes, not mental ones.

This is all speculation as no one from the team would ever admit it had an impact anyway, so I can't believe we're even going there.
