7-7 game right now, Lions driving on the Saints.

I still think the Saints end up winning this one handily, if the Lions could somehow win this game, I feel completely confident in another W vs the Lions next week.

And if the Falcons could beat the Giants, I would feel even better about getting back to the Super Bowl as I don't think there is a team that could really beat us if we play a good game.


As it stands, I think it's about 50/50 we get back to the SB. Beating the Giants again would be a tough challenge and then if we got past them, the Saints would be even tougher.

Sure they are. They fucked the Lions pretty good when the Lions had a chance to go in and get another TD. The whole key to that game was the Lions playing from the front and forcing Lions turnovers.


And the Lions were right in that game. And to those of us who watched it, we all know who the better team clearly is, but we also know how the game changed on a couple plays, and how Stafford was then forced into some bad throws(or just made some bad throws, either way).


So....the Refs certainly played a role in the Lions not being able to pull the upset.





Either way.....I think 50/50 that we get back to the SB is optimistic. I think it's 50/50 we beat the Saints in Green Bay. I think it's only about 60/40 we beat the Giants IF they beat the Falcons.

I think whoever gets their from the NFC though walks in the SB.

When I posted that, Lions were down by 7....but that was a key momentum shift

That was set several days ago, that the Packers play the second game on Sunday.

Hey Falcons, maybe you can get a little more creative with your 4th and short playcalling than trying to sneak Ryan into the heart of the Giants D-line every time with an empty backfield.

Will be interesting to see if Ross the CB can come back. Out with a concussion for the rest of this game, always questionable if a player can return week after a concussion. We put up big numbers against them with him in.

Matt Ryan is starting to get that chip on his shoulder as the guy who can't win a playoff game. An offensive performance like this isn't going to help change that.

The Giants do scare me as most of us have said all along, but we SHOULD win, we're a 15-1 team at home in the playoffs. Some of our fears may have to do with bad recent memories of them. The Giants have some strengths but they're certainly not invincible by any means. They're not going to hold us to 2 points.

I get the concerns though, they look like us from last year. Borderline playoff team with tons of injuries, gains momentum late in the season, sneaks into the playoffs on the last day, and never looks back.
