I think this will be a win. Hanie had some solid experience to grow on last week, and I do think he'll be a lot better against the Chiefs.

Hanie just needs to know going into this game he doesn't need to WIN this game, he just can't lose it. KC is just bad this year. 4-7, with their 4 wins being vs. Minnesota, at Indy, at Oakland (first game after Campbell injury, Oakland threw SIX interceptions), and vs. San Diego in OT. Throw in that they're on a 4 game losing streak in which they've averaged 6.25 points per game, and haven't won yet since Cassell went down.

The Bears' D and special teams should be enough to win this game. Would just worry about how the cut backs in the passing game is going to impact Forte, if he indeed is wearing down a bit.

I was actually kind of surprised at how well Hanie ran with the ball last week.

GREAT interview with Jay Cutler on Waddle & Silvy right now. Funny, but he doesn't even try. He just is.

The Roe and Roeper Show (on WLS in the afternoon) interviewed Caleb Hanie yesterday, he seems like a pretty cool dude too.

Soldier Field gets partial facelift

CHICAGO -- Fans tuning in to Sunday's broadcast of the Chicago Bears' matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs will see a new look at Soldier Field with the middle third of the field taking on a darker green hue due to it being re-sodded.

According to a Bears official, the Chicago Park District -- which works in conjunction with the team -- installed the new sod just after the Nov. 25 Prep Bowl, which annually pits the Chicago Public League champion and the Chicago Catholic League champion.

The Prep Bowl was originally set to be played at Gately Stadium, but the game was moved to Soldier Field.

Hours before kickoff, scattered showers fell on the turf, which wasn't covered by a tarp. But players from both teams did light work on the field, and none of them appeared to be struggling with footing.

Interestingly, over the past several years Soldier Field has drawn criticism from Bears players and their opponents for the shoddy footing, which typically deteriorates during the cold winter months.

This past August, the team called off its on-field work for the club's annual Family Fest because of unsafe field conditions. Soldier Field general manager Tim LeFevour said the dangerous conditions stemmed from the grounds crew miscalculating the field's watering schedule.

That resulted in the rectangular seams of sod coming apart, which created gaps in the field that could potentially cause injury.

The Bears close their home schedule on Dec. 18 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Terrible sight right now, with Forte holding his knee on the turf.

Most unbelievable luck for the Chiefs on this end of the half TD.
