Manage the game Hanie, manage the game. You don't win it in the 1st quarter, but you can definitely lose it. Manage the game.

This could be a lot worse, all things considered.

That was a beautiful read/throw by Hanie. Both him and Knox recognized the blitz was coming and ran a perfect play for it. Here's to that being one of many to come!

That was pretty dumb of Hanie...intentional grounding to end the game.

Awful. Hanie made way too many mistakes but we were still in it at the end. Gotta clean things up.

We could have definitely won this game with Cutler the way the defense played for us.

Bears move up to the 5th seed because the Lions lost to the Packers. The win we had over Atlanta in Week 1 is HUGE right now.

Honestly, the game played out about how I expected given it's our second string QB making his first NFL start on the road. Like IP said, there were some simple mistakes that need to get cleaned up but I think part of it was the lack of a comfort factor with the receivers. Knox was the one he was most familiar with from practice squad so it made sense that he got the most looks. I'm not sure if practices were different this week with the holiday but I still think we can pull of a 4-2 to close out the season and secure a playoff spot. I think this still would've been a tough game even with Cutler under center so it's not a huge difference maker in my opinion.

Oakland is not the place to have your first start as a QB. I think Hanie will take a lot away from this game and clean things up. It'll help that he's going to be at home next week. More reps with the 1st team will definitely help.

We'll be ok. That Denver game worries me a little now.

I'm not worried about Denver. Our defense will keep Tebow in check, he's getting a bit better trusting his arm over his legs, but I don't think he's a full NFL QB yet. I think our offense will be able to put up enough points to pull it out. It's another two weeks to get Hanie and the rest of the offense on the same page and the Chiefs shouldn't pose much of a problem.

I wouldnt blow of Denver just yet. Some how, some way, they keep winning. I dont know how, but they do.

I saw that last play. What was he thinking? Kinda reminded me of the clock management to finish out the game against the Patriots last year with Flynn under center. Just not used to it.

Fair point, looking over "Tebow Time" I didn't realize this 4 game win streak started against the Raiders, albeit it was still while Palmer was getting his groove with a new team and threw three INT. Should be an entertaining game to say the least.

What I expected yesterday. With Cutler out, teams will make Hanie beat them. Raiders did a great job at keeping the Bears kick/punt returns from beating them. Peppers/Urlacher & Co did a great job considering the field position - just didn't get the typical turnovers needed. Tim Jennings dropped some "could've been" ints, and that would've made a huge difference.

Hanie, IMO, played with a little adrenaline running. Especially early in the game - he appeared to be "needing" to make a play and not realizing it was the 1st quarter. Some throws that should've been made sooner, or just weren't there to begin with. He reminded me of Cutler when he first came to Chicago. The Cutler that would make a throw and all the fans would yell "What did you see there?!?!?"

I really think Hanie will be fine. Before the Cutler injury, I saw 2 games we'd lose: Oakland and GB. With another week of practice, and an easier opponent coming up in KC/Denver/Seattle, I see Hanie getting comfortable and avoiding the mental mistakes. Take away those early mistakes, and the Bears win a tough game in Oakland. I mean shit, just the INT before the halftime was a game changer. Bears were about to take the lead going into halftime - then the screen pass got picked off.

My real worry right now is Forte. Did he lose his legs with all the early season usage?

Even with Forte in a reduced role, Barber's actually looking pretty good.

This is one of the games that I think most of us guessed would turn out a loss, so we shouldn't be jumping off the ledge just yet. If they lose to the Chiefs, I'll start to worry. I still think Hanie will be okay.

Tough loss. I thought the defense was outstanding. Yeah, they allowed 25 points, but they were put into terrible situations by Hanie's INTS's. Limit the turnovers going forward, and I think we are ok. I have complete faith in our defense right now.

Forte averaged 4.9 YPC yesterday. We ran the ball really well as a team. 172 rushing yards will win you a game on most days.
