Kristin Cavallari: Dating Jay Cutler?
Jay Cutler is reportedly now fulfilling the fantasies of all six male viewers who watched The Hills' final season.

Kristin Cavallari is reportedly "at the early stages of dating" the football player, with whom she was recently seen at Angels and Kings bar in Chicago.

“The two of them were all over each other this past weekend in Chicago,” a witness supposedly reports. “They were so cute, holding hands, smooching.”

The Bears QB was questioned on Tuesday by the Chicago Tribune if he was ready for the Tony Romo-like spotlight that comes with dating a celebrity,

"I won't get into that stuff like he does. That's going to be ... all of that stuff is on the backburner," Jay Cutler replied, adding, "It'll be interesting."

She was born in Denver. Moved to Barrington, Illinois and was in one of the Van Wilder movies.

So Denver-Chicago and famous.

Romo advises Cutler on romance
Source: Michael Wright / ESPN Chicago
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- With the tabloids now descending upon Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and his off-the-field life, Dallas Cowboys signal caller Tony Romo -- no stranger to the spotlight himself -- offered a little advice about how to deal with the attention.

Asked what he'd tell Cutler, who has recently been linked to Kristin Cavallari of the reality television show "The Hills," Romo said:

"It's all what each person makes it out to be," Romo said. "The reality is more people will have opinions, more than anything else. At the end of the day, you either develop a turtle shell to what people who really don't matter think about you, or you don't. You just have to be able to put blinders on, have tunnel vision, and go out and work and do what makes you be good at what you do. That stuff is fluff. It doesn't really matter, anyway."

Having been linked in the past to country music star Carrie Underwood, and singer Jessica Simpson among others, Romo said it didn't take long to formulate such an outlook on life under the microscope.

"You learn pretty quickly, as you play quarterback, that if you're going to let what people say affect your emotional level then you're in for a really long life, and a life of solitude, really," he said. "You can't allow what media or opinions of others derail what you're trying to accomplish.

"If every time you fail, or someone said something negative about you, and you went and hid in the corner, then you would never be in this position. You keep grinding, keep getting better, and you pick yourself up and you go. That's life. It's not just football.

"At the end of the day, you're consistently trying to accomplish a goal. Then when you fail, you get back up and you learn from it and you try to accomplish a goal again. All the extracurricular things are going to be stuff that when you don't accomplish your goal, it allows people to have an opinion.

"We play this position for a reason. We enjoy going out there and having a direct result on the outcome on the game. We like to have a little bit of that control. That's part of the greatness of the game. You need everyone to accomplish it, and it's fun. But all that other stuff comes with it."

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said his relationship with reality TV star Kristin Cavallari is "working out," but claims he doesn't pay much attention to the tabloid buzz the pair has generated.

"I'm so busy with football and [offensive coordinator] Mike [Martz] and stuff it's just hard to catch up with that," Cutler said Monday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "The only way I hear about it is if my sister tells me."

After a Week 1 victory over the Detroit Lions, Cutler was spotted in New York having lunch with Cavallari, who was on the reality TV series "The Hills," before returning to Chicago the next day to prepare for the Dallas Cowboys.

"I went in Monday morning, got my stuff done, came back, landed [Tuesday] went in, game-planned a little," Cutler said about last week. "I got enough football for probably everybody at this point. I don't think [Cavallari] is in New York right now so don't think I can go back there [this week].

"Yeah, they're going well. It's working out so far."

Things are working out well for Cutler on the field through the first two games of the season as well. He threw three touchdown passes in a 27-20 victory over the Cowboys as the Bears improved to 2-0. His 121.2 passer rating leads the NFL, and his five touchdown passes are tied for second.

And, perhaps most impressive, Cutler, who led the NFL with 26 interceptions last season, didn't throw a pick against a blitzing Cowboys' defense.

"I think with our game plans and Mike, he's so conscious of giving me an answer for each and every coverage that goes with each play. I'm not going out there thinking 'Now if this happens maybe I've got to throw it here, maybe I've got to throw it here.' It's very clear-cut. 'If you get this you've got to throw it here. If this happens, this is your hot [route].' He always gives me an answer and as long as I have an answer most times I'll do the right thing."

Jay Cutler Gets Engaged

Jay Cutler engaged to reality TV star Kristin Cavallari

Eight months after they started dating, Jay Cutler(notes) and reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari are engaged to be married.

People.com reports that the Chicago Bears quarterback proposed to the former star of "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills" during a weekend trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The ring is reportedly 5.2 carats, a number which brings to mind Cutler's quarterback rating in the NFC championship game.

[Requisite paragraph about how happy we are for the loving couple and their upcoming union.]

This is a wonderful development for the "real" Jay Cutler, not so great news for Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Dude gets enough flak as it is. Throwing in a high-profile marriage to the woman who once dated a guy named Justin Bobby and stole L.C.'s boyfriend is likely to intensify that. Tom Brady(notes) can get away with marrying Gisele and having a few bad games after. Something tells me the fans won't be as forgiving with Cutler.

It's silly, of course. Unless an athlete's personal life involves reckless behavior or temporary emotional trauma, there's not much correlation between off-field distractions and on-field play. How are Cutler's quarterbacking abilities going to be different because he's getting hitched?

That being said, this is Jay Cutler we're talking about. He's not the most sympathetic figure, nor is he likely to deal well with the inevitable media onslaught after he has a bad game and reporters start acting like Kristin is Jessica Simpson incarnate.

He probably had Caleb Haney do it....

I dont care about his personal life, as long as he stays out of trouble. What I care about his on-field performance.

Report: Cutler-Cavallari engagement ends
Source: ESPNChicago.com

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has called off his engagement to Kristin Cavallari, according to a report on People.com.

"She got dumped," a source told the magazine. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."

Cutler had popped the question to the reality-TV star during a romantic getaway in Cabo San Lucas in April.

Cavallari, 24, who appeared on "The Hills," and Cutler, 28, had been dating since last fall.

He can't seem to finish anything he starts lately.

But now I look forward to seeing him hammered at Castaways and hitting on ugly whores.
