GT - Win a road game outside of Pit

Postby RetardRon on Apr 18th, 2011, 5:01 pm

We can do it!

Aparently Nyjer Morgan is still unavailable to start because Carlos Gomez and Mark Kotsay, who have four RBI between them, are starting in the outfield tonight for the Brewers against Philadelphia.

Here is the lineup the Brewers will send out to face right-hander Joe Blanton:

2B Rickie Weeks
CF Carlos Gomez
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
3B Casey McGehee
SS Yuniesky Betancourt
RF Mark Kotsay
C Jonathan Lucroy
RHP Shaun Marcum
Accomplishments:
2010 - NFL Pick'em regular season & playoff champion
2011 - BC Dynasty Baseball league regular season champion

Words of Wisdom:
(1) You can only speak in absolutes if your name begins with "Fan." (2)Strikeouts are not of any importance for hitters; however, high K's for a pitcher are.

On paper this is our best chance of winning a game this series. But with how baseball goes, we'll probably lost this one and beat Halladay and Lee.

That lineup is hideous right now. Two studs, one very good hitter, one average hitter, and four replacement level hitters.

Gomez not only still starting, but still hitting second. I'm embarrassed that this fact is being broadcast to a national audience.

Gomez will be fine with consistent playing time. Just ask him.

The lineup tonight looks awful on paper, but the scary thing is that the only guy it's missing is Hart. Before they acquired Morgan, this was the lineup they were gonna roll with, just substitute Kotsay with Hart and do some minor shuffling.

Doesn't seem like Roenicke is very interested in double plays. They shift every time a double-play is possible.
