GT - Game 1 vs Bucs

Postby RetardRon on Apr 12th, 2011, 1:19 pm

No lineups posted yet.. We are facing a RH pitcher, so there is hope that "Tony Clutch" will be roaming CF.

Lets keep dominating these turds.

From Haudricourt:

Pittsburgh - If the rain stops and allows the Brewers and Pirates to play tonight at PNC Park, the Brewers will have their original No. 1 catcher, Jonathan Lucroy, behind the plate.

Lucroy, who began the year on the 15-day DL after breaking his right pinkie finger in spring training, was activated Monday and joined the team here.

Here is the Brewers' lineup against righty Kevin Correia:

2B Rickie Weeks
CF Carlos Gomez
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
3B Casey McGehee
RF Mark Kotsay
SS Yuniesky Betancourt
C Jonathan Lucroy
RHP Shaun Marcum

Rain out wouldnt be the worst given our #5 spot in the rotation dilemma.

Fuck. I just bought the MLB.tv package last night. I wanted to see that shit in action.

The games look okay on the MLB 11 At Bat app on my HTC Thunderbolt powered by Android and the ALL NEW Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, the most advanced network in the nation!

Seriously? I've never seen a game canceled 3 hours before a game due to rain.

Tonight's game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates has been rained out, my esteemed colleague Tom Haudricourt reports from Pittsburgh.

There is no makeup date scheduled yet.

It's expected the Brewers will stay with their scheduled starters moving forward. Manager Ron Roenicke had spoken last week about trying to get the members of his rotation an extra day of rest so, although unexpected, the rainout serves the same purpose.

Get a roof!!!

Oh well. The less games we play without Greinke, the better. The only logical makeup date I can see on the schedule is Thursday, August 25th, the back end of our only other trip to Pittsburgh. Although that would give us a pretty brutal 20 straight games without a day off, so maybe they'll opt for a doubleheader tomorrow, Thursday, or in August.

I think Gomez just bat flipped on a shallow flyout to left.
