GT - Easter

Postby RetardRon on Apr 24th, 2011, 1:04 pm

Rickie Weeks returns to the leadoff spot for the Brewers on Sunday after missing one game due to a sore left pinky finger. Switch hitter Brandon Boggs is batting seventh and playing in right field as the Brewers are facing Astros left-hander Wandy Rodriguez.

Also, Wil Nieves will bat eighth and catch, replacing Jonathan Lucroy. Jason Bourgeois is in center for the Astros and leading off, with Michael Bourn getting the day off.

It's a matchup of southpaws with Randy Wolf pitching for the Brewers.

You just can't give up on a guy like Gomez. He either learns now to be patient or his career might head towards Lastings Milledge treatment.

First of all, that's nasty.

Second, Gomez with another single.

Casey McGehee quietly on a 9 game hitting streak with 6 RBI's, 4 DBL's and a Homer.

Seems like he's been so quiet.

This team gets back Hart and Morgan and we're looking good. Trade for a good SS and we're looking incredible. Maybe we see if the Cubs want to trade Starlin Castro? Might as well trade him while his value is high, right?

It seems like everyone on offense has been getting better lately. Gomez is actually giving positive value with the bat, Betancourt is no longer a black hole (still not good though). Weeks has been very good and McGehee has been solid. While Braun/Fielder have been outstanding. Also, Lucroy has been pretty damn good so far and while Kotsay lacks any power, he has been showing up great, veteran plate discipline. Now we need Gallardo to pitch like the ace he is and all will be well. Oh and then we get Greinke, Hart, and Morgan back :) Good time to be a Brewers fan.

Man this rotation looks good when Greinke gets back. Returns are early but wow, not too many teams can top Greinke/Gallardo/Marcum/Wolf/Narveson. There's a fair amount of teams with those pocket aces, but very few can match our depth at 3-5.
