GT 5-5 Cinco De Marcum, stop the bleeding

Postby medicalgary33 on May 5th, 2011, 5:41 pm

Lets stop this slide, and get back on track. It starts with a win here, which gives us a season split with the Braves

Yeah, Hart hasnt gotten on track yet, but has a history of being a dangerous hitter. so MAYBE its to help Yuni see better pitches being the free swinger he is?

Tom H.

I also talked to general manager Doug Melvin and he told me the elbow injury that left-hander Manny Parra suffered in Nashville is not considered serious. The diagnosis was a sprained ulnar collateral ligament and strained flexor tendon.

That does not mean that Parra is headed for Tommy John surgery, said Melvin.

"He just felt tightness more than anything," said Melvin. "I don't think he's coming back soon but we don't think it's that bad."

Wow, 3 Ks in the first inning. Not the start you're looking for after yesterday.

Solid start to this game.

Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with our offense right now?

That's the surprising part. If you would have told me the bullpen was killing us, I'd believe it. Defense? Hell yeah I'd believe it. Starting pitching, a bit surprised with the additions but would believe it. But our offense? That was the thing I was MOST confident in coming into the season.

Oh wow, look at that. A groundball to the left side of the infield with a runner on 2nd and nobody out.

With the way our offense has been going, do you bring the infield in in the first inning?

Obviously Prado is unaware of Prince's adventures in throwing to the plate.

Braves didn't study enough tape, or they'd send the runner home on a hit to Fielder every time.

Really glad Marcum's out there tonight. Perhaps they can eek out some sort of 2-1 victory.
