GT 5/2/11: Gallardo gets back on track

Postby adambr2 on May 2nd, 2011, 3:42 pm

2B Rickie Weeks
CF Carlos Gomez
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
3B Casey McGehee
RF Corey Hart
SS Yuniesky Betancourt
C Wil Nieves
RHP Yovani Gallardo

I'm going to predict that Gallardo does indeed get back on track today with 7 IP and 2 earned, and Corey also finally gets going after a day off with a 2 for 4 game including a bomb.

Damn I hope Yo gets back on track. Team is just stuck in a .500 funk, hopefully Yo gets back on track, combined with Greinke coming back gives them a spark.

Interesting move though, did they switch up the catchers for Yo to try to help him snap out of it? Seems like he's been pitching to Lucroy this year every other start.

3 games with Lucroy, 2 with Kottaras, and 1 with Nieves. Doubt it's a coincidence that Nieves is catching Yo tonight.

It's pretty disappointing, given our expectations this year. Granted, we haven't had a full speed Hart back...or GREINKE. But still...

I just think the way Apple is doing it NOW, is the best way out there

Riiiight, Sven. Telling your customers exactly how to do everything and not giving them OPTIONS is the best way to do it. You know what that's called? A DICTATORSHIP. And you're the one stupid enough to buy into it.

Right. Hart could be a solid improvement over Kotsay/Almonte/Morgan trio, but how much better is Greinke going to be than Estrada has been so far?

Ha, that was some top notch camera work. Leave it on Gallardo while a 4-6-3 is taking place.

David Ross is a true brewer killer (in my opinion). Every year this guy seems to go yard on use excessively. I hate him

Ah, defense. How long have Fielder and Hart been playing first base and right field together? 5 years?
