I know there aren't many fans here, but you gotta admit, this team is looking pretty good. Like every year, picked to finish 6-8 but they compete down to the end to finish in the top 4. They're young overall, but the sky's the limit with DJO and Crowder.

The problem with Marquette, is that it is Marquette. Fuck Marquette.

I'm in a pretty good situation with my college basketball fanhood. Mizzou and Marquette look awesome, Badgers don't really have an impressive win yet, but you have to be encouraged that they only lost by 3 @UNC shooting the way they did.

I'm in the same boat. I love me some Badgers, but MU is a great change of pace team for me to watch since they actually score. There's a lot of good basketball in state this year, its going to be a fun season.

most marquette fans i have met are total d-bags. right up there with MSU and OSU football fans. i think its just an iferiority complex since they have no football to cheer. fuck those guys.

See, this is what I don't get. Why do UW people not like both teams? And they seem to think its MU with the inferiority complex. As a fan of both teams, who actually follows the Badgers closer because all his friends went to Madison, I just don't get why UW fans feel the need to hate MU or be jealous when they are playing well.

Additionally, MU has very good academics, and I know a lot of people who have done one then the other for undergrad/grad study loving both. I was accepted at both but chose MU because I liked the smaller size and wanted to stay near home. Which one did you get into Narc?

Eh, I hang out with a lot more UW grads, but thats a pretty ridiculous generalization. I love me some Badger tailgates and student sections, but some of the chants and mob mentality things that have happened over the years are pretty fucking embarrassing. And funny that you bring up an inferiority complex right after a loss on the home court.

I agree. Went to UW, have absolutely no ties personally to Marquette, but will always root for Marquette in the Big East and NCAA tournament.

And that joke that Narc made is much more popular, true, and funnier when used with Minnesota instead of Marquette.

I personally have nothing against Marquette, and will root for them in the Big Dance. Just growing up, I remember watching Badger football and basketball all the time with my parents, when we were just terrible. My "dislike" for Marquette was its deepest when I was in middle school, and my 8th grade Algebra teacher, and coach for my competative math team, was a big Marquette fan. We always had fun going back and forth with that. Otherwise, Im impartial on MU until March

It is mostly douchebags who go to UW so they think they are automatically better than everyone else.

When you hear about someone from Wisconsin trash talking Marquette for no real reason. In my experience, it is usually a pretentious prick who went to UW, so they think they are better than you.
