I'd say a guy that's 68 and facing a minimum 60 years is certainly likely to die in prison, yes.

And no idea what they'll do with him in prison. You really can't just release him to the general prison population, can't imagine he'd live very long there (and whether that would be "just" or fair or not is irrelevant, they still can't do it).

If Pennsylvania is anything like Arizona (And I cant imagine why prison systems arent similar across the nation), they keep the child molesters/abusers separate from the rest of the general population. We transported a guy from the prison here once and got into that convo for a few reasons. He stated that its unwritten prison rule that if you get a child molester/abuser one on one with no guards around, you take care of him. If you dont and the others find out, they take care of you.

LOL at "most likely" will die in prison. The earliest he can get out is when he turns 128 years old.

Jurors in the two-week trial convicted Sandusky of 45 of the 48 counts against him. Mandatory minimums mean Sandusky, 68, likely will die in prison.

I was just quoting what it said. I didnt read the whole article.

I think its kinda awesome, in some sick and twisted way, that murderers detest rapists and molesters so much.

PSU Football deserves the death penalty. i know the ncaa didnt want to do it after what happened to SMU, and it took them like 30 years to rebound, but this is much much worse of an offense.

No, they don't need the death penalty. The staff needs the death penalty, but not the game of football itself. Clean house and let the kids play.

im going to wait to see what else comes out, because there seems to be a HUGE cover up going on at all levels. children were sexually assaulted, and the institution knew about it. this is more of an offense than just paying players and lying about it, as SMU did. well atleast in my own opinion.

I don't have a link, but on my way home from work this afternoon I heard Bill James call into Doug Gottlieb's show and actually defend Joe Paterno. I'm not talking about bringing up other great things he's done I mean literally defend him specifically regarding this situation. It was a pain to listen to, at one point DG asked him if he thought it was normal for a grown man to shower with boys who are not related and he actually responded "Yes, from where I am from" or something to that effect.

If there is a link to the audio of this listen. If people thought Bo Ryan calling into Mike & Mike was bad it was nothing compared to this...

Too bad Sandusky didn't start a charity to help children in Africa. The problem would have been "solved" before it hardly got started.
