'10-'11 Hornets talk

Postby Cubsfan4life11 on Nov 9th, 2010, 10:13 pm

Wanted to wait til we stayed good for a bit before i started this cause we all know how my Devils thread worked out LOL. Well, we're bout to go 7-0 and have officially took the sting (NPI) off my Devils' failure. Anyone think we're for real except for me?

Last game:

Hornets 107

Blazers 87

Record 8-0 (only unbeaten team left!!!)

That said, I think we will lose tomorrow @ Dallas

Hornets are probably gonna end up 3rd in the West. They have a pretty decent team. Maybe 55 wins?

As i predicted our streak ended at 8 with a loss at Dallas. Pisses me off we had an 11-point TWICE in the 4th quarter and kept trying for a 3 late when we was only down two. OH well, we get them in the nest in a couple days Revenge!!!!

Forgot to post after Wednesday's game so I'll do 2,

11/17: REVENGE!!!! Nice that WE was the ones that came back after losing and having more adversity thrown at us.

Record: 9-1

Last night: WHEW!!!!! We got to quit takin our foot off the gas and letting POS teams like the queen-less Cavs make a ass-whippin close. But we won again and now we're 10-1!! I now know without a doubt we're legit.

Hornets, Raptors close to a 5-player deal
Source: Chris Sheridan / ESPN

The New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors are in serious discussions on a five-player trade that would send Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to the Raptors for Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and Marcus Banks, a source told ESPN.com Saturday.

The deal was close to being completed Friday night, but was held up over the amount of cash the Hornets would send to the Raptors in the trade.

Still, the holdup was not believed to be insurmountable, according to a source with direct knowledge of the talks, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Stojakovic is in the final year of his contract, earning $14.25 million, and has fallen out of the rotation in New Orleans, averaging just 7.5 points in less than 15 minutes per game playing behind Marco Belinelli, whom the Hornets acquired in another trade with the Raptors during the summer.

Bayless is averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 assists as the backup point guard behind Chris Paul.

Jack, who is earning $4.6 million and has two more seasons left on his contract, has started all 13 games for the Raptors, averaging 10.8 points and 4.5 assists. But he has played an average of only 26 minutes per night, basically operating in a time-share with Jose Calderon at point guard.

Andersen, a backup center, is averaging 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds, and Banks (in the final year of his contract, making $4.85 million) has appeared in only three games this season.

Not starting anymore "my team" threads kiss of fucking death yet you Chicago fuckers get away with it how HOW?

My bad man. But when I posted that we were down double digits in a place where we rarely win, coming off that debacle in LA and getting pasted in Utah. I keep forgettin we can handle adversity this year but you guys have to understand that this ain't me revertin back to my old self it's just that after what the Devils and Cubs did to me these past7 months my "sports psyche" is as fragile as an egg.

Stop taking shit so seriously bro. Just watch and follow your team with no hopes or expectations....enjoy the game because next year there might not be no NBA or NFL.

Idc, win or lose, im watching my team and supporting them.

LOL, IP I would NEVER go that far...I watch my teams and want them to win EVERY game. When we lose, I get pissed. It's part of being a truew diehard fan, which Goat you are, but you lose hopes too quickly.

Well, of course, I want my teams to be a winning team but i dont get my hopes up to see them get crushed. If we win, i'll ride the high but we start losing i wont flip ape shit and go all crazy....definitely not to Goat's level. Who the fuck complains about a 12-3 team? LOL.

Even if my team start losing, i'll still watch them and cheer them on (i.e- Cubs of 2010). I was always in the GTs with my optimism til the very last game. Sure there were low points where i got frustrated but the next was a new day. Dont take sports for granted. Next year there might not be any NFL or NBA games.

Well, like the townie said We suck again!!!!!!!! With a chance to make a statement after our recent skid we take a 17-point halftime lead at home against the Spurs and what do we do afterward? GET OUTSCORED 65-34 to lose by 14!!! This team's start was a fluke and is going NOWHERE!!!!

Goathater2234, you do know its only 16 games into the season right? Relax man, you cant win them all. The Hornets are a 50-55 win team, IMHO. The Lakers are only 1/2 game better than you guys.
Guess who's back? I am.
