Calos Gomez Milwaukee Brewer Center FielderOur favorite Milwaukee Brewer to hate is getting hot and showing signs that he can actually take a walk.    There is no questioning the mans ability on defense and pure speed on the base paths, but now he starting to also string a few nice AB's together.    I'm not just talking about increasing his avg, but actually working the count and getting himself into good hitting counts.

In the first couple weeks of the year, every Brewer fan I talk to was begging for Nyjer Morgan to take over the CF job for the Brewers.  According to all of us, there was no way GoGo was going to change his ways and we were just wasting a spot in the lineup with him penciled in to the 2 hole.  Well, Nyjer will be back in a couple days, are we still saying it should be his job?  Should there be a strict platoon, or do you let Gomez continue to get the majority of the starts?

Here is Adambr2's take -  "If this was 2004 or 2005, go ahead and let it ride with Gomez all year. Being that we pretty much went all in this year, I don't think we're really in a position to give Gomez the entire season to figure it out.

Ideally, I'd still like to unload Gomez to a team that IS in that position and can give us an upgrade at SS, but I'm not even really sure how much he's worth at this point."
